There&#8217;s something magical about them, and this one is no exception. In fact, the jackfruit only makes it better. And if you have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ashwita.com\/food\/chakka-varattiyathu-jackfruit-jam\/\">chakka varati <\/a>sitting in your fridge, this is something you can whip up in about 5 minutes!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Serves 4<br \/>\nTime taken: 5 min<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ingredients<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00bd cup <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ashwita.com\/food\/chakka-varattiyathu-jackfruit-jam\/\">chakka varati<\/a><br \/>\n1\u00bd cups coconut milk (or 1 cup second &amp;\u00a0\u00bd cup first milk)<br \/>\n2 tbsp ghee<br \/>\n2 tbsp chopped nuts &amp; raisins<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Instructions<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Heat ghee in a pan and add the chopped nuts.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">When golden brown, add the chakka varati and coconut milk, mix thoroughly.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Simmer for 2-3 min and remove from heat.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Serve warm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Variation<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I like the taste of chana dal in the payasam and feel it really adds value.\u00a0I usually pressure-cook chana dal for 10 min with 2.5 times water and add it along with the chakka varati in the second step of the recipe. The rest of the process remains the same.
