It also makes a good snack, and can be eaten for breakfast as well.<br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Serves 4<br \/>\nTime taken: 20 min (<em>Overnight Soaking Required)<\/em><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Ingredients<\/b><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1\u00bd cup sago (sabudana)<br \/>\n1 large potato<br \/>\n1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)<br \/>\n3-4 green chillies finely chopped.<br \/>\n1 cup roasted peanuts, crushed<br \/>\n\u00bd\u00a0cup grated coconut (desiccated coconut could also be used)<br \/>\n2 tsp lime juice<br \/>\n3 tbsp coriander or cilantro<br \/>\n3 tbsp ghee<br \/>\n1 tsp sugar<br \/>\nSalt<br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Instructions<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Wash and drain the sago and keep covered over night (about 3 hours would also be enough).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chop the potato into small\u00a0cubes<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds and potatoes. Cook on a low flame until the potatoes are cooked.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Add the peanuts and green chilies and stir for a minute.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Add the sago, salt and sugar. Stir occasionally until cooked.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Add the lemon juice a minute before taking it off the heat.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Garnish with coriander and coconut and serve with sweetened curds and\/ or sweet tamarind chutney<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Maharashtrian favourite, this dish is typically eaten during fasting.
