Luckily, sago is available almost all over the world today, and this dish can be enjoyed by anyone, anywhere.<br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Ingredients<\/b><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 cup sago (sabudana)<br \/>\n3 small potatoes<br \/>\n4 Bread slices<br \/>\nSalt<br \/>\n1\/3 tsp Chili powder<br \/>\n\u00bc tsp Garam masala<br \/>\n\u2153 tsp Baking soda<br \/>\nOil for deep-frying<br \/>\n7-8 Mint leaves finely cut<br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Instructions<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Soak the sago in water<\/li>\n<li>Boil, peel and mash the potatoes<\/li>\n<li>Dip the slices of bread in water, squeeze and mash them.<\/li>\n<li>Mix all the ingredients into a smooth dough<\/li>\n<li>Heat oil in a deep bottom non-stick pan<\/li>\n<li>Shape a bit of dough with oiled hands and slide it into hot oil.<\/li>\n<li>When putting the next one in, slide it gently so that the two don&#8217;t stick.<\/li>\n<li>Fry until cooked on both sides<\/li>\n<li>Drain and serve hot with tomato ketchup, sweetened yoghurt or with tamarind chutney.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Makes 20 vadas Time taken: 20-30min This snack is very popular in Maharashtra, and one of the most-missed dishes among the ones who leave the state.
