To my pleasant surprise I found my favorite childhood dish \u2018<em>muttayappam<\/em>\u2019 (my mother used to make it quite often) placed in coconut milk in a shallow dish and I enjoyed it to the last bit!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Makes 4 pancakes<br \/>\nTime taken: 20 min<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 \u00a0cup refined flour for<br \/>\nA pinch of salt<br \/>\n2 teaspoons sugar<br \/>\n1 egg<br \/>\n\u00be cup water to make a free flowing batter<br \/>\n2 tbsps ghee or oil<br \/>\n1 cup coconut milk<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>For filling:<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>1 cup grated coconut<br \/>\n1\/3 cup sugar<br \/>\n\u00bd tsp cardamom powder<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Instructions<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-295\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.ashwita.com\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC2741.jpg?resize=474%2C314&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"474\" height=\"314\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.ashwita.com\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC2741.jpg?w=1200&amp;ssl=1 1200w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.ashwita.com\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC2741.jpg?resize=300%2C199&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.ashwita.com\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC2741.jpg?resize=1024%2C678&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.ashwita.com\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC2741.jpg?w=948&amp;ssl=1 948w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 474px) 100vw, 474px\" \/>Take the refined flower in a container, add salt and sugar and break the egg into the center. Hold the kadai with both hands, take it away from fire, rotate it to spread the batter into a round.
